Rajasthan Minister Kirodi Lal Meena Vows to Resign if BJP Loses Seats Under His Oversight
Rajasthan state cabinet minister Kirodi Lal Meena has pledged to resign if the BJP loses any of the seven seats he was responsible for overseeing. With current trends showing the BJP leading in 14 out of 25 seats, including Dausa, Meena reiterated his commitment to his earlier statement on Tuesday.
Sharing a verse from the Ramcharitmanas on the social media platform X, Meena quoted, “Raghukul Reeti Sada Chali Aai, Pran Jaai Par Bachan Na Jaai” (The tradition of Raghu’s clan is that one may lose their life but not their word).
On Monday, Meena revealed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had entrusted him with the responsibility of seven crucial seats in eastern Rajasthan. “Before the PM’s visit to Dausa, I stated that if we don’t win the Dausa seat, I would resign from my ministerial post. Subsequently, the PM gave me a list of seven seats to focus on. I dedicated significant efforts to 11 seats, particularly concentrating on these seven. If the BJP loses even one of these seven seats, I will step down from my position,” he declared.
