Tata Altroz Racer Premium Hatchback Booking Starts: Launch with Features like 360-Degree Camera on June 7, Expected Price ₹10 Lakhs
Tata Motors has initiated bookings for the new Tata Altroz Racer along with releasing a teaser. Interested buyers can book it by visiting the official website or dealership and paying a token amount of ₹21,000.
This is the sportier version of the regular Altroz, which was showcased for the first time at Auto Expo 2023 and then again at India Mobility Global Expo this year. According to media reports, the car could be launched in India on June 7.
The teaser reveals a glimpse of the Altroz Racer, featuring a new orange-black color scheme and an extended rear spoiler for a sporty feel. The alloy wheel design remains unchanged but is now given a black finish in the Altroz Racer.
Prior to the launch, most information about the Tata Altroz Racer has already been leaked. The car will be offered in three variants – R1, R2, and R3 – with three color options: Atomic Orange, Avenue White, and Pure Grey.
Compared to the regular Altroz model, the Racer will feature a more powerful engine with a sporty appeal, along with several extra features for safety, including 6 airbags and a 360-degree camera. Upon launch, the Altroz Racer will directly compete with the Hyundai i20 N-Line. The price of the Tata Altroz Racer could start from ₹10 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Exterior Design of Altroz Racer
To enhance its sporty appeal compared to the regular Altroz, the Racer will come with additional styling elements. These updates include a new grille and dual-tip exhaust. Additionally, it features a dual-tone exterior color option. The car will have black treatment on the roof, bonnet, wing mirror, window line, spoiler, and all three pillars along with 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels with black inserts.
Interior Design of Altroz Racer
The cabin of the Racer will feature a sporty interior design, with a black dashboard layout complemented by exterior color accents and contrast stitching on the seat upholstery. It will also include ambient lighting in exterior colors.
Talking about features, the Tata Altroz Racer will come equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a new 7-inch digital driver display, ventilated front seats, heads-up display, voice command sunroof, automatic climate control, and wireless phone charging, among others.
In addition, for safety, it will feature 6 airbags, 360-degree camera, cruise control, parking sensors, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), child ISOFIX anchor seat, electronic stability control (ESC), hill assist control, and three-point seat belt with seat belt reminder for all passengers.
Tata Altroz Racer: Performance
The standard Altroz comes with a 1.2-liter Revotron turbo-petrol engine delivering 110hp. The Racer will feature the Nexon’s 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine, which is a more powerful full engine with 10hp more power and 30Nm more torque.
Compared to the regular Altroz, the sporty version will come with a new 6-speed manual gearbox, and a choice of a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission could also be offered.
